Remember, when telling people about the Veterans Suicide Prevention Hotline to include the Lifeline number 1-800-273-TALK (8255) and the option to press 1 to be routed to the Veterans Hotline.

Share Your Story on the Lifeline Gallery

Have you lost a loved one to suicide? Have you attempted suicide and now want to share your story of hope and recovery? Are you a suicide prevention advocate who wants to encourage vets in crisis to reach out? Creating an avatar on the Lifeline Gallery and sharing your personal story will help others affected by suicide to not feel alone and spread the message of help and hope. Visit the Veterans Mental Health Administrations YouTube channel to see Veterans Hotline PSAs and video content. You can embed these videos on your websites and social networking profiles to help spread the word about the Veterans Suicide Prevention Hotline.

Do you oversee, or belong to, a group, social networking site, listserv, blog or wiki? If so, you can offer suicide prevention resources to members/readers and keep your community safe. Post a Veterans Hotline web banner on your site and link to the Lifeline’s veterans information.
